Israel Pitches US Against Iran Amid Hamas War

Despite not wanting to be drawn into a full-scale fight with Israel over the Hamas conflict, the US has found itself up against Iran proxies in the Middle East. Hezbollah and other extremist organizations backed by Iran have already put their support behind Hamas and the Palestine cause.

Israel and Syria share a border; during these confrontations, the US strikes Iran's bases in Iraq in self-defense. There are still hundreds of Palestinians dying every day in Gaza as a result of air and ground strikes, the bulk of whom are youngsters. Israel and the US, however, do not retreat.

According to Alamuddin, historical Israeli maneuvers are what led to the very establishment of Hamas and Hezbollah. "Only because all sides incited and produced dangerous events they were unable to control is this conflict even possible. Israel's nurturing of Palestine's Islamist movement as a counterweight to the secular Palestine Liberation Organization was attributed with Hamas' growth, whereas Hezbollah was established in the ashes of Israel's 1982 invasion of Lebanon.

In addition to the 190,000 Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps personnel already stationed around the area, there are over 240,000 fighters with Iraq's Al-Hashd Al-Sha'abi and linked forces in Yemen and Syria. Israel, however, has 460,000 reservists and 170,000 active military members. About 300,000 IDF soldiers have been stationed close to Gaza.

Judging by the data, it seems easy to turn the tables on Israel. However, the US won't allow this to occur. The United States armed forces will inevitably intervene on behalf of an ally.
