"Masam Project Achieves Major Success: 772 Mines Dismantled in Yemen by August 2023"


 In a remarkable feat of humanitarian effort and expertise, the Masam project's dedicated team has successfully dismantled a total of 772 mines scattered across Yemen as of the conclusion of August 2023. This substantial achievement underscores their unwavering commitment to safeguarding the lives of Yemeni civilians and mitigating the devastating impact of explosive remnants of war in the region.

The extensive scope of their work encompassed the disarming of various types of dangerous ordnance, including 718 unexploded ordnances, 41 anti-tank mines, nine anti-personnel mines, and four explosive devices. In the city of Aden, located in southern Yemen, the Masam team focused their efforts on clearing the area of 188 unexploded ordnances and 18 anti-tank mines, rendering these locations safer for residents and visitors alike.
