Korean and Saudi Arabian ministers talk about collaborating in maritime transport

 


During his trip to Seoul, the Korean Minister of Oceans and Fisheries Cho Seung-hwan met with the Saudi Arabian Minister of Transport and Logistic Services Saleh Al-Jasser. They discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the field of maritime transport and logistics between the two countries.


The meeting was part of Cho Seung-hwan's visit to Korea to attend the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Marine Environment Protection Committee meeting. The two ministers expressed their satisfaction with the level of bilateral cooperation in the field of maritime transport and logistics.


Both parties discussed the development of new shipping routes between Korea and Saudi Arabia, as well as the possibility of launching joint projects in the field of port management and logistics. The Saudi Arabian minister highlighted the importance of enhancing cooperation in this field to boost trade and investment between the two countries.


The Korean minister also introduced his country's advanced technologies in the maritime sector, including shipbuilding and green shipping. He expressed his willingness to share these technologies with Saudi Arabia and collaborate on research and development projects.


The meeting concluded with both parties reaffirming their commitment to strengthening cooperation in the field of maritime transport and logistics. They also agreed to continue working together to explore new opportunities for joint projects and initiatives.
