2.5m 911 calls made during Ramadan in Saudi Arabia

 


The unified emergency number 911 in Riyadh, Makkah, and the Eastern Province received about 2.5 million calls during Ramadan, according to the National Centre for Security Operations.

Specialised personnel working around-the-clock and offering the service in many languages passed all of the calls to the appropriate authorities.

Riyadh made just over a million calls to the centre, Makkah 987,470 calls, and the Eastern Province 489,470 calls.
