Real Madrid crowned as 2023-24 La Liga Champions

 

Real Madrid won La Liga for the 2023–2024 season after Barcelona unexpectedly lost to Girona 4–2. With the loss, Madrid's victory was complete and they took an unassailable lead atop the league standings.

With their decisive 3-0 victory against Cadiz earlier in the day, Real Madrid moved 14 points clear of Barcelona. Girona's victory over Barcelona dashed their dreams of winning a championship, confirming Madrid's dominance.

Real Madrid has already won 36 La Liga championships, putting them well ahead of Barcelona's 27 league titles.

Throughout the season, Ancelotti's team went undefeated at the storied Bernabeu; their lone loss came in a 3-1 away setback to Atlético de Madrid in September.

Real Madrid is now aiming for more success after winning the Supercopa de España earlier in the season. With Wednesday's second leg of their Champions League semi-final matchup against Bayern Munich, they are presently vying for their third trophy.

Real Madrid's La Liga victory not only confirms their supremacy in Spanish football but also bolsters their drive for greatness in the European arena. Madrid surely has hopes of adding the coveted Champions League trophy as the season comes to an end.
