Who is the Loser: Hamas Derailed Saudi-Israel Normalization

Questions are being asked about whether Operation Al-Aqsa Flood was launched by the Gaza-based militant group to scuttle the Saudi-Israel agreement as the Israel-Hamas conflict continues. Did it fear that Saudi Arabia and Israel would have signed the agreement with a handshake under US pressure?

Hamas took it upon itself to say enough is enough after sensing that the Palestine issue will once more be swept under the rug. The world community turned a blind eye after months of Israeli forces' brutality of Palestinians and desecration of the holy Al-Aqsa mosque. However, the attack on October 7 caused confusion and anxiety in the West. The United States, United Kingdom, France, and the rest of Europe sided with Israel while denouncing Hamas and Palestine.

But MBS has often raised awareness of the Palestinian situation with the US. And out of a sense of brotherhood, Washington has been hesitant to urge Israel to find a solution and resolve the conflict. Israel and anti-Semitism have been used by the US, particularly by the Biden administration. Mohammed bin Salman made it clear in an interview last month that the Palestinian issue is crucial. We must resolve that issue.
