Arab Designers Shine on the Cannes Film Festival Red Carpet with A-List Stars Donning Their Ensembles

Arab designers have taken the spotlight on the red carpet of the 76th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, with renowned names like Tony Ward, Zuhair Murad, and Elie Saab dressing A-list celebrities in their exquisite creations.

During the screening of director James Mangold's "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny" on Thursday, US actress Kat Graham, along with French models Iris Mittenaere and Gabrielle Caunesil Pozzoli, graced the event wearing gowns designed by Lebanese-Italian designer Tony Ward.

Graham captivated attention in a cosmic black blazer dress adorned with meticulously hand-embroidered gold constellations. Mittenaere opted for a lilac silk tulle gown that shimmered with delicate glints of beaded embroideries. Pozzoli, on the other hand, stunned in a coral pink ball gown embellished with sparkling geometric embroideries.

Joining the premiere was US actress Calista Flockhart, accompanied by her husband and film star Harrison Ford. Flockhart wowed in a black tulle gown with velvet trim and bow detailing, sourced from the pre-fall 2023 collection of Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad.

Zuhair Murad's creations continued to make waves beyond Cannes, as US actress Storm Reid and Saudi star Fatima Al-Banawi showcased his designs at the Red Sea International Film Festival and Vanity Fair's "women's stories gala after party," both held this week.

The presence of these Arab designers on the international stage demonstrates their undeniable talent and the growing recognition of their work. With A-list stars proudly championing their ensembles, these designers continue to redefine fashion and captivate audiences with their creativity and craftsmanship.
